My Reliv Story:
After my wife passed away at the tender age of 35, I inherited her Reliv distributorship. Now that I had to raise a 6 month old, an 18 month old and a 7 year old I thought it would be great to be able to work from home. It seemed like a good opportunity at the time. I had good experience at marketing my day job on the internet and used my expertise in that area to sky-rocket my sales. I used Google PPC which back in 03 were a real bargain.
Between myself and one of my key distributors we were bringing in over 400 new customers each month using pay-per-click advertising on Google and Yahoo. This got the attention of the vice-president who then sent some ambassadors on his behalf to congratulate me on my success. These so-called ambassadors were actually in my upline and over the next few months got extremely jealous over the amount of business I was generating by my online tactics. You see they were traveling from city to city conducting seminars and promises of a brave new world for all that would follow them. They called a meeting of the "Inner Circle", yes that's actually what they call themselves. These are individuals who have achieved high rankings with the Reliv organization. The topic of conversation was, you guessed it, me and my organization. They didn't think it was fair that someone like me could bring in mass amounts of new customers without ever talking to them. They felt that the best way to "share" their product was by throwing shake parties much like a Tupperware rep would do. In house demonstrations. Yea, that's what I really want to do with a 6 month old screaming in the back ground.
So, just before I was ready to quit my day job due to the fact that my commission checks were more than offsetting the loss of income I would have when I quit, an executive order comes down that effective Jan 01, 2005 all distributor web sites were to be taken down and no online ordering would be possible any longer. Violation of this order would result in termination. This was devastating to me and my dream of working from home. I knew that without fresh customers coming in each month my income would plummet. Guess what, it did.
This company's backwards thinking ideas are just ridiculous in today's network marketing. And even today you cannot buy their products online. You must speak with someone and/or have them come out to your house and give a presentation. This is where you can get the business opportunity shoved up your A**. Now, if you go to the corporate web site Reliv.com and request information about how to order or becoming a distributor, those leads are filtered only to those in the "Inner Circle". Problem solved!
Reliv's products are over-priced and in powder form. How much bio-available nutrients are even present after this kind of processing? Liquid nutrients are much more effective at battling anti-aging, immune system breakdowns, etc. If you want to learn more about a REAL multi-vitamin/mineral supplement in liquid form that anyone can afford then go to Health Plus Wealth and get involved with a company with vision, not old school marketing that just doesn't work for the masses.

This MLM company has multiple pyramid levels. The sellers on the upper levels make money off the people at the lower levels via a percentage of each sale, and, more importantly, from the enrollment fees of new recruits.
The fact is the vast majority of people who participate in the Reliv plan fail to make a profit, and indeed end up with less money than they started with. This is true of all MLM’s. But there simply is not a “Reliv scam”. Their business practices are legal, if ethically questionable, and a few dedicated people do in fact make money from it.
